The Hamilton Beach Eclectrics stand mixer is easy to operate, with intuitive controls, according to reviews. Experts say the single beater design is better at reaching the sides of the bowl than those with double beaters The Eclectrics mixer is available in several colors, and at 17 pounds, it's relatively lightweight.

What the Reviewers Don’t Like:
Performance in reviews is good - but the mixer may not stand up as well as others to heavy duty tasks like kneading bread dough. Since the Hamilton Beach Eclectrics stand mixer is fairly light, it is inclined to “walk” across the counter.

The Hamilton Beach Eclectrics passed whipping, creaming, and mixing tests. It was one of only a few mixers to evenly knead pizza dough in under ten minutes. Although this mixer is recommended, the editors preferred the KitchenAid Classic Plus, which costs $20 more; they also say the Bosch Compact Kitchen Machine does just as good a job and costs less.
