Hamilton Beach Power Deluxe 64695 Review

(*est. $50)

This page is part of a larger ConsumerSearch report on Mixers which includes more reviews, analysis and a summary of the top-rated models.

What the Reviewers Like:
The Hamilton Beach Power Deluxe 64695 can be used as a stand or hand mixer. It is very inexpensive for a stand mixer.

What the Reviewers Don’t Like:
The glass mixing bowl is heavy, and the motor is too weak to handle stiff doughs. Reviewers say the Hamilton Beach Power Deluxe 64695 is really a hand mixer on a stand. Most reviewers say other mixers are better.

Hamilton Beach Power Deluxe 64695 review highlights

The inexpensive Power Deluxe stand mixer failed at nearly every task that professional testers set before it. Reviews say its stationary beaters are its downfall: Ingredients clog them and remain unincorporated. (Experts say that mixers with a single beater that circulates around the bowl are far better than mixers with stationary beaters.) Reviews say that the Hamilton Beach Power Deluxe 64695 takes twice as long as other mixers to do the same job, in part because it’s necessary to stop and scrape down the bowl frequently. If you're in the market for an inexpensive stand mixer, reviews indicate that the Bosch Compact Kitchen Machine (*est. $130) is a better choice.

Cook's Illustrated included the Hamilton Beach Power Deluxe 64695 stand mixer in its review of mixers that cost less than $200, and Consumer Reports included this model in its stand mixer roundup. This mixer has accumulated a couple dozen owner-written reviews at Amazon.com and Epinions.
