What every best Refrigerators has:

Hot water from a fridge. To say that the GE Café CFE28TSHSS is feature rich would be an understatement. Most of the attention comes from its ability to dispense lukewarm to near boiling hot water, but that's just the beginning. The water dispenser also has a Precise Fill feature that dispenses an exact amount of liquid. You can upload photos to the touchscreen and display those slideshow style. A full-width pull out drawer can be independently set to a temperature that's ideal for meats, drinks or deli items, and it has lights that change colors to visually remind you of the selected setting. The rest of the features list includes twin crispers, on-door digital control (via the aforementioned touchscreen), a though-the-door ice dispenser, a door alarm, LED interior lighting, and more. Users say the features intuitive and easy to use, and the flexible storage options make it easy to organize their fridge by food type.
Nearly perfect. The experts at Reviewed struggle to find anything that the GE Café CFE28TSHSS does not excel at. "This GE's performance is as close to perfect as we've ever seen," Matthew Zahnzinger says. The one small issue is that when set to zero degrees, the very bottom of the freezer compartment didn't get quite that cold. He suggests turning down the freezer temperature a bit to avoid that. At Consumer Reports, the CFE28TSHSS earns scores of Excellent and Very Good for thermostat control and temperature uniformity, respectively, although it doesn't earn a recommended nod there. We saw no complaints about the GE's performance from owners, aside from the odd durability complaint (which happens with all appliances). We did see comments that people can't believe they paid this much for a fridge, but most grudgingly say it was worth it.
Very efficient for its size. Although Consumer Reports gives the GE Café CFE28TSHSS just a score of Good for energy efficiency, Zahnzinger says that for its size it's actually not bad in that regard. It's Energy Star certified and its estimated annual operating costs are $87. Although most refrigerators are better performers the more energy they use, the update to the CFE28TSHSS in 2014 to conform to new Energy Star requirements actually resulted in improved performance.
Impressive looking. Measuring 35.75 inches wide by 36.25 inches deep, the GE Café CFE28TSHSS isn't an ideal choice for a smaller kitchen. But if your kitchen is large enough to house it, this French door fridge is an impressive looking appliance. Clad in stainless steel, the dispensers and display blend in seamlessly. Reviewed complains a little that the designer handles have a coarse rather than smooth feel to them. The interior is well lit. The colored lighting of the full-length drawer adds a little bit of a funky touch, although most like the space age vibe.
